MirandaAI (2023 – ongoing)
JusticeText is a MIT and Google-backed startup making automated AI transcriptions, saving public defenders hours from manually reviewing body cam footage and helping them serve low-income Americans.
MirandaAI is an expansion on JusticeText’s AI-powered capabilities with Q&A-styled transcript analysis. By integrating OpenAI into the platform, attorneys can ask questions about AI-generated transcripts from body cam footage, 911 calls, interrogations, and more.
Beyond Q&A, the OpenAI integration enhances transcript analysis with automated summaries, key event detection (e.g., traffic stops, Miranda Rights read), and structured auto-detected chapters.
Following the success of file-level MirandaAI in 2023, the team expanded its capabilities to case-level analysis, enabling AI-powered insights across multiple files.
Public defenders often receive hundreds of jail calls or case files—MirandaAI helps them cut through the noise, surfacing critical moments with efficiency and accuracy.
